that
Terry Pratchett is god.
A reproduction of a painting done by Paul Kidby based on Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. You must read them, for they are the literary equivelant of crack. Go. Find some.
Acrylic on Watercolor paper Original can be found here.
GORGEOUS. <3 Seriously, yer detail and sense of color is just beautiful, and I LOVE how the turtle looks so... SMUG. xD He really does, it's like "oh-ho-HO, I'm carrying the world, what did YOOOUUU do today?!"
The background is so serene and lovely and... this whole thing is so elegant and - I just love it. <3
Seriously, I've always wanted to read them, but... well, this is going to sound stupid, but I don't know where to begin. xD I ALWAYS come at series at like, book five, and read them terribly out of sequence, so I'm sort of paranoid about doing that. Which one should I read first? n__n;;;

Well, most of the books don't actually follow the same linear story, so you could pick up just about any one of them and not have much trouble. But it's probably easier to start out with the first one, The Colour of Magic, followed by The Light Fantastic, to understand the world setting better.
